Hi folks! I’m doing another pop-up!
The last one was pretty fun, so I thought I’d follow up with a combination of Malaysian food and one of my favorite forms of comfort food—sandwiches!
The next pop-up “Malaysian Food…Between Buns!” is at Perch on Tuesday, August 4.
I’ll be making four sandwiches and stacking them with some Malaysian food goodness. And if you missed the crispy pork from the last pop-up, it’s back on the menu!
The Menu: “Malaysian Food…Between Buns!”
Beef Rendang “Sloppy Joe” ¥65
Beef rendang, shoestring fries & pickles.
Curried Eggplant “Sloppy Joe” ¥42
Curried eggplant, shoestring fries & pickles. This is vegetarian.
Belacan Fried Chicken Sandwich ¥55
Belacan-marinated fried chicken, sambal, pickles, lettuce & tomato. This contains shrimp.
Roasted Pork Belly Sandwich ¥58
Dijon mustard, pickles & cucumber.
Five Spice Roasted Pork Belly ¥68
Crispy pork belly a la carte with dijon mustard.
Drink Deals: Beer & Fernet
For drinks, there will be specials on Witchcraft Brewery (Beer for Breakfast Amber Ale) and Firestone Walker (Mind Haze IPA) beers. Plus Fernet shots.
Perch is an easy-going cocktail and wine bar in Jing’an. The seating inside is limited, but they have a lovely terrace that’s also dog-friendly.
This is a casual event! If you want a guarantee on having a table, do book an early slot or come early. (Portions are limited!)
